Georgia Education Management Project receives three year contract
USAID/Caucasus awarded Chemonics International a three-year contract for its new Georgia Education Management (GEM) project to support the needs of wide scale education decentralization reforms in the country. The project will build long-term institutional capacity to better manage the education system, and increase effectiveness of education policies on decentralization, finance, and accreditation. The GEM project will also result in the establishment of strong master's degree and training programs in education administration, and will allow the Ministry of Education and Science to base its decisions on more reliable national, regional, and school level data as well as through participatory discussions with the civil society organizations and local communities.
